Technology is part of our daily lives, but have you ever wondered how it really affects your health?
Insights from the survey
Our latest survey reveals that urban Vietnamese are indeed impacted by technology use, more physically (~50%) than mentally (~20%), with most reporting they use it very often or fairly often. This is an alarming public health issue, especially among younger groups who are more vulnerable.
So, what should we do?
Healthcare sector | Hospitals and clinics can prepare for rising cases of eye problems and sleep disorders by offering more preventive check-ups, and stress management counseling.
Vietnamese population | Especially for young people, developing healthier tech habits, such as setting daily screen-time limits, is becoming increasingly important to avoid long-term health risks.
Businesses | There are opportunities to develop health apps that track screen time and suggest breaks, as well as consumer products like ergonomic chairs, and sleep-support supplements.
