At the end of 2020, in the year of the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnamese feel very optimistic about the year to come as per the results of the End of Year by Indochina Research Vietnam.  Seven out of ten respondents (67%) consider 2021 will be a better year compared to 2020.

When mentioning about the economic development, 63% consider that 2021 will be a year of economic prosperity while 25% consider it will remain the same as 2020 and only 12% consider it will be a year of economic difficulties.

Survey methodology: Annual survey carried out face-to-face among a representative sample of n=600 Vietnamese citizens living in Hanoi and HCM City urban districts, aged from 18 to 64 years old. The interviews were carried out from October 31^st to November 12^th, 2020.
